“What if our culture could speak to you — in holograms?”
WarisanXR invites you into a living, breathing version of Malaysian heritage — powered by mixed reality. Walk among holograms, interact with ancient artifacts, and feel the past come alive, all through augmented reality glasses.
🧭 Why We Started: A Heritage at Risk
As Malaysia evolves, precious cultural traditions risk being forgotten — especially by the younger generation.
We asked ourselves: “What if technology could help protect what makes us who we are?”
Thus, WarisanXR was born:
A mission to preserve, reimagine, and reignite cultural pride through immersive storytelling.
We don’t just tell stories. We let you step inside them with WarisanXR

Visitors wear AR glasses and enter a carefully designed space where:
- You are greeted by a cloud of holographic butterflies 🦋
- You witness traditional performances in life-size 3D
- You touch and spin ancient artifacts and taste culture through a digital food wheel
It’s more than education — it’s emotional connection.
A fully interactive 15–20 minute journey that blends wonder with meaning.

The Tech Behind the Magic

XREAL Air 2 Ultra Glasses (6DoF)
Freedom to move, see, hear, and feel.

Volumetric Capture
Real-life performers turned into full-body, viewable-from-any-angle holograms.

Hand Tracking
No controllers — just your gestures, naturally interacting with digital content.
Captured at TrueXR Studio – Malaysia’s first high-fidelity volumetric studio.
Creative Technologies
Visitors view the content using advanced AR glasses with 6 Degrees of Freedom capability, allowing them to move around and interact with high-fidelity holograms and augmented elements overlaid on the real-world environment. Additionally, visitors can enjoy audio explanations that provide further insight into the content.
High-fidelity volumetric capture technology is employed to create lifelike holograms of cultural figures, traditional practices, and historical events. These holograms are fully three-dimensional and can be viewed from any angle, enhancing the realism and immersion of the experience.
Hand gestures enhance immersion, allowing visitors to feel as though they are physically interacting with the digital content.
Visitors can manipulate and engage with 3D objects and holograms using their hands, creating a more intuitive and seamless interaction
Our Mission Doesn’t End Here
Through WarisanXR, we’re building a digital cultural archive — a long-term resource to promote Malaysia’s heritage globally.
We dream of a world where our stories are not just remembered, but felt.
Let’s pass the torch — not just through textbooks, but through technology that moves us.

WarisanXR Q&A
- It is not suitable for people with little or no experience with digital devices. It is NOT an audio guide, but an interactive experience. It requires you to quickly learn how to navigate the virtual world and load the stations into the correct positions. This requires experience and a feel for digital applications.
“WarisanXR” is also not suitable for groups. Only eight people can start at the same time every 30 minutes, everyone walks alone, it’s not a shared experience, and they don’t return at the same time. You must also be able to walk around the area.
WarisanXR pop up is a portable experience enable modular , smaller experience, to exhibit on selected venues / events. Where as WarisanXR is a full experiential , richer contents, designated in a permanent place.
With the latest generation of AR glasses, you’ll never lose sight of your surroundings. The latest AR glasses technology enable us to witness a clear crystal sharp content in hologram. Digital markers are placed at specific locations in a center, to which the glasses react. You then have to load the game scene to the correct, predetermined location and be patient. Then the virtual reality that only you can see appears. Structure building appears, people appear, and you’re drawn into the story. Yet, you continue to register what’s happening around you. This is the biggest difference from virtual reality.
AR, or Augmented Reality, is a technology that blends digital elements such as 3D objects, animations, or holograms with the real world. When viewed through AR glasses, these virtual elements appear as if they exist in your physical space, such as building appears, people appear making stories and information come to life around you.
Upon entering the space, user are greeting by our virtual gatekeeper of cultural memory who emergences to gide each visitors across the series of interactive and stories.

Like any new high-tech product, “WarisanXR” is primarily suitable for those with technical experience. In isolated cases, temporary sound and video disruptions may occur on some days. In such cases, immediately unplug the glasses from your mobile phone, wait about ten seconds, and then plug it back in. The glasses’ software will then reload and the scene will restart, ensuring you don’t miss anything. In rare cases, hang issues may also occur at the start of the tour. In such cases, we are happy to switch devices. It’s always important to be patient while the software loads. The sensors can be sensitive depending on the light conditions. Therefore, avoid looking directly at the light/ shining surface and keep the glasses from getting wet.
